What is the Objective of this Project?
The objective of this study has always been, up to now, to verify whether Project-based Learning E-Portfolio Assessment can be regarded as a valuable tool to encourage students to reconsider and narrative their learning experience by engaging that reiterative process of looking back to previous performance and looking forward to goals and by reflecting of their learning. The reflection is a process to support the learner growth and form through feedback by peers and facilitator but also the awareness makes them skilful or know as reflective practitioner. In this study, reflection apart of authentic assessment is focus on learner analytical skills, project-based skills, problem based skills and critical thinking skills that encourages a constructivist and connectivism approach to learning, where students learn through application. These skills help learners to raised self-reflection, stimulated creativity, improved active learning, improving peer communication and facilitator-students’ relations.
Learning Contract and Guide
Facilitator's Guide
I have created Facilitator’s Guide with two goals: 1) to help you make the most of taking the online course with other colleagues, and 2) to help you bring content and experiences from the online course to life in your own schools.
A learning circle is a peer-facilitated, face-to-face group of learners who are all registered in the course. The way in which your learning circle engages with the course is entirely up to you. It might be that members of your group watch certain videos on their own time and discuss those videos in-person. Maybe your group does assignments together each week. Your learning circle should interact with the course in the ways that seem most valuable and productive. The Facilitator's Guide has ideas and strategies for working collaboratively, including:
-
Guidance for keeping your learning circle organized
-
Conversation starters for discussing the videos, including interviews and presentations
-
Strategies for making assignments and activities more collaborative
-
Ways of making the most of your shared time
Learner's Guide
Each week contains video lectures and an assignment, along with readings and discussion opportunities.
-
Videos introduce a concept, demonstrate a technique, feature interviews where we bring in instructor-learners to share their knowledge with you. We often include text above the video and there is sometimes text below as well. Make sure to scroll down so you don't miss additional content or activities!
-
Assignments are designed to let you apply what you've been learning and try out the concepts yourself. Each unit assignment has been broken down into multiple steps that align with the design process.
-
Readings provide wider background in the field and deeper information about the topics presented. These resources are meant to supplement the content covered in the videos. In some cases, we have included optional readings.
-
Forum Interactions are another important element of the course. Sharing your thoughts and getting to know your peers is a valuable learning experience in itself. Consider joining and/or starting a group.
